Week 3

Another week in the Great White North. The weather has been much nicer this week. We enjoyed a couple of days of sun, finally. I am surprised to see how hot 68 degrees feels when you are this far north.

We finally got the new toys out for a round at Jim's Creek. Jim's Creek is actually a river that gets its water from a nearby glacier. The boys had a blast. We had to cross a smaller creek during the ride and poor Spencer's 4-wheeler drowned out. I had to take my shoes off and wade out to get him. The water was ice cold and by the time I got him out, my toes felt like they were going to freeze.

The move continues to be an adventure. We are still going through boxes and have received more than a few surprises. Nothing like finding that your work suits have been used as packing material or your nice sweaters wrapped around Maggie's food/water bowl stand.
When we read that Alaska was the last frontier, we didn't realize what all that entailed.
